Overview

Motion Capture a great way to make animations. Let’s make it even easier!

All of the things made for this project were made for the XRLab of Saxion, including a cinematic made using Motion Capture in the Unreal Engine.

During the making of the cinematic various tools and documentation was made to make this process quicker and easier for future projects.

What Learned

During this project lots of things were learned, firstly as the team lead I had to communicate a lot with the client to ensure their problems would be fixed, whilst keeping the workload and schedules of the team members in mind to not not overwork anyone, and still get the work done in time.

I also made two types of tools, mainly the Cinematic Flow System, and the Control Rig Cleanup Tool. For the cinematic I learned how to use the sequencer in Unreal, and how to quickly make small scripts for using Visual Effects. I also fixed a lot of small issues to connect everyone’s work together into a finalized product.

Where to Find

As this project was made for a client, the only thing available are the videos. The rest is private.
